Absolutely amazing establishment. My daughter goes here and they teach discipline and above all else ypu get what you earn. Nothing it just handed out. Deciding to join again after nearly a 22 year break has to be one of my best adult decisions yet. The program here has helped me in many ways to be a better person mentally and physically. The best place to train for any age with the best instructors around!
Pablo and Stacey Mejia have stood the test of time. My 12 year old and 8 year old are training with the same good people i worked out with 45 years ago. They are teaching my children good manners, respect and how to protect themselves.
Stacy taught me karate and now teaches my children, she is the bast!!!

What we love most is how they emphasize respect, manners, and doing the right thing — all the qualities we try to instill at home as parents. Acadiana Karate has been absolutely wonderful! My son has only been in the little ninjas for 3 months and I can already see positive changes in him. I love the environment I love the positivity and encouragement and discipline they try to instill in these kids! I love it. If you’re looking for your kid to join any facility for karate, this is the place! You will not be disappointed! The time and effort they put it in for these kids are much appreciated:)

My son has been a student with Acadiana Karate since 2019. It has helped him in so many ways. He really enjoys the exercise and fellowship with other students. He also loves the extra events that are put on throughout the year and said that the most recent back-to-school party was the funnest ever. He’s progressively become more disciplined and respectful at home. I’m happy that he’s working towards his goal of black belt. I highly recommend Acadiana Karate.
I took my kids last night just to see if they like it and both loved it. Unfortunately we cant swing the prices right now because of having two kids but the Senseis where absolutely amazing with my kids.

I have been associated with Acadiana Karate for over 14 years - first as a parent, then a student, and now as an instructor. Daily I get to the see benefits of the martial arts program at Acadiana Karate for all who participate but one student in particular stands out. As a teacher at a local elementary school during the day, I met a kindergarten student who never smiled, and cried not to go to school. He began karate in the first grade. His first day in the Little Ninja class was the first time in a year that I saw this boy smile - and he's been seen smiling and happy at school ever since. This student is currently the student of the month in his first grade class. His teacher states that he is self confident in his interactions with classmates and teachers. The school guidance counselor attributes his success to karate. " Karate has done wonders for him," she tells me every time she sees me.
This school has not only AMAZING owners, but a fantastic staff as well. They truly care for each and every one of their students! Acadiana karate not only teaches the art of self defense and works along your child's readiness to advance, but also teaches them self discipline that carries over to your child's home life, they are very emphatic about teaching respect for the art of karate so as to make sure your child doesn't become a "bully" simply because they gain knowledge of fight techniques and self defense. In addition to ALL that, they instill respect for their parents, their teachers, themselves, and others. I could go on and on, but to sum up, Acadiana Karate, Sensei Stacy and Shihan are the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!
Ashlyn(my daughter) started karate when she was 4 years old. She is 13 years old now and has worn every uniform, and participated in every club available. Sensei Kelly knows my daughter almost better than I do. It's more than the focus, respect, honesty, and constant reach for excellence. As an overprotective parent, I am really picky about keeping my tween busy and out of trouble. I am so thankful for everyone at Acadiana Karate for all that they do. Sensei Kelly is a great role model that continues to contribute to the woman that Ashlyn will become.
